We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health. Just as our physical health has it's up and downs, so does our mental health and it's important to  remember that both are connected.

Lovelocks Counselling offers online counselling sessions, to support you and your mental health. Online Counselling is a fantastic option that enables direct support to you at home. Also, because support is remote, you can be anywhere in the country or even anywhere in the world for our sessions!

Sessions are carried out via video calls (Zoom), there is also an option of telephone, text or email sessions.

Being able to see each other on video calls enables a better connection, the visual brings more content to session, as we share facial expressions and body language.

You and I will be able to interact and connect remotely in order to create the right conditions to build our counselling relationship, this will enable you to get maximum benefit from our sessions together.

Being able to engage in counselling sessions from home can remove barriers to engagement, you no longer have to consider going out, transport or even what shoes to wear! If you can be prone to being a bit shy or anxious, having online sessions can feel like a more comfortable option for you than meeting in person. Online sessions enable you to build confidence and strengthen communication.

I started offering Online Counselling sessions due to Covid-19 but have found them just as beneficial for clients as face to face work, and in some instances more so, starting counselling sessions is a fantastic first step in self care, for you and those around you.

Counselling for Young People

11 - 25 years old

Lovelocks specialises in supporting Young People (11-25 years old).

I have extensive experience counselling young people. This has been built up in agency settings over the last 17 years, where I have worked with a full range of issues faced by young people, these include family/relationship issues, anxiety, identity, sexual abuse/assault, bullying, eating disorders, self harm and loss.

If unattended, these issues can affect someone's sense of well being and mental health. As well as being a counsellor, I have supported young people across roles numerous employment roles, including as a Personal Adviser at a drop in centre for young people, Careers Adviser in schools, a Troubled Families worker and as a Manager of a scheme supporting homeless young people.

I'm able to connect quickly with young people and built good rapport which enables a genuine relationship to be formed and trust built, this is key to the therapeutic work and progress. Parents and Carers can rest assured that support is professional and full of care.

I have an Enhanced DBS.
